Studying the Bible is essential to our relationship with Christ.  It is a foundation, teaching us truth, giving us the opportunity to know God, and offering guidance as we strive to be fully devoted followers of Christ.

How to Study the Bible

Concordance A biblical concordance is an alphabetical index of the words in the Bible, showing every contextual occurrence of a word.  It provides links to the original language and definitions of those original translations.

Parallel Bible: Parallel Bibles allow you to compare Bible versions, side-by-side, allowing you to see how different translators have interpreted the original language.

Commentaries: Written by well-known and popular theologians, Bible commentaries aid in the study of Scripture by providing explanation and interpretation of Biblical text.

Bible Encyclopedia: Bible encyclopedias contain historical references such as date, religious environment, family life, customs, language, and literature, to help you understand the full meaning of the word in context to its use in specific verses of the Bible.

Bible Dictionary: Bible dictionaries provide definitions and proper names for Biblical words, allowing you to define and analyze Scripture by discovering the meaning of words and studying them in context to the theological concepts of that specific verse or passage. Many word searches also include the original Greek and Hebrew word with meaning.
